Portrait of a Marriage

Man and his woman.

[Text and pictures by Mayank Austen Soofi]

Mathura Road: A man and woman on a bike. An apartment in suburban Vasundhra: A man in the bedroom, a woman in the kitchen. Zebra crossing in Inner Circle, Connaught Place: A man and woman crossing the road. Lodhi Garden: A man and a woman sitting on a bench. Outside Red Fort: A man playing a flute, a woman looking at him lovingly. In Chandni Chowk: A man and a woman having aloo tikki chaat. A footpath in Nizamuddin West: A woman kissing a child, a man sitting by her side with two more children. These are random images of married couples seen by The Delhi Walla. Are they happy together?

  1. Amazed to see an old “Doli” in Matia Mahal. Is it still being used in old Delhi? Wow!
