Sorry, but there’s a reason.

Since the day I announced the club’s reopening after a long break, quite a few readers have written to me enquiring about the best English translation of Proust’s novel In Search of Lost Time. I have an opinion on the subject, of course. But I want to pass on the most considered advice to potential Proustians. Luckily, the English speaking world’s most renowned professor on everything Proust has promised to mail me his thoughts over the next few days. I’m looking forward to share his views with you.
