The keyboard, as we all know, is the most humane element of the computer. Despite the development of other forms of input devices in computing, says the always dependable Wikipedia, such as the mouse, touchscreen, pen devices, character recognition and voice recognition, it is the humble keyboard that remains the most commonly used device for direct human input of information into computers. However, Wikipedia does not know everything. In Delhi, the keyboard also demands to be fed. It is particularly fond of biscuits and biryani. The Delhi Walla surveyed the eating habits of the city’s keyboards. Here are the results. It is suffice to say that our keyboards’ current eating habits will probably lead to an epidemic of obesity. It would be fairly easy to assess the comparative weights of the participants by the calorie count in front of them…just saying.
The keyboard acts like a kala teeka on all those mouth-watering dishes. Indeed modern life has become so automated that a keyboard is now a ubiquitous item, something that we take for granted.
