Our Self-Written Obituaries – Priyanka Yadav, Babra Bakipur Village, Gurgaon
The 202nd death.
[Text and photos sent by Priyanka Yadav]
I walk on the steps that you walked on
I trace the wall you sat on
I remember the smile that you brought to my lips
Your posture with hands on hips
Your hair waving in the air
Your heart so fair
Your love for stars and the sky
Your dream of flying high and high
I remember when you held my hand
The print you left on the sand
I remember your love for flower
You were one too, smiling every hour
I remember you wriggling your nose
Trying to stand on your toes
I remember your cute lies
And your dewy eyes
But now you are gone
And I am here all alone
What was yours is now mine
and the dew of your eyes.
