Photo Essay – The Apocalyptic Scenes in the World’s Most Polluted City, Around Delhi Photo Essays by The Delhi Walla - November 9, 2017November 9, 20178 The end of the world. [Text and photos by Mayank Austen Soofi] For at least two days in November, Delhi was cloaked in smog. During the day, you couldn’t see the sun. At night, the stars and the moon went missing. It became completely normal to see people going around their life wearing anti-pollution masks. The Delhi Walla went around the town to witness the terrifying scenes. The world as we know it… now 1. I have been coughing for over a month, and it is only a week or so back, that I realised that it’s because of the pollution. It’s terrible. It can be brought down, but no one is doing anything about it.
We all collectively need to act to preserve this city for our children. With determined, passionate Delhiwallahs, who love this great city, we all, together, united, can get rid of the city from this pollution. Of course, it is a long way to go, but every thing has a humble beginning. This movement has already begun with you, Mayank, depicting the horrors of this menace. We all stand united for this cause.
